Jackson Ingram (WVU), who played at Buffalo Gap H.S. before finishing his prep career at The Miller School, has had back-to-back big games for the Staunton Braves.
Wednesday night, in a showdown between the top two teams in the Valley Baseball League South Division, Ingram was the Braves’ Hitter of the Game in a 6-2 win over the Turks. He was 3-for-3, including a solo homer, his second round-tripper of the season.
Thursday, Ingram homered for the second straight night in a 17-5 win over New Market. He was 2-for-3 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Ingram shared the Hitter of the Game honors with catcher LT Cockrill (Delaware) and DH Mikey Urbaniak Longwood).
Ingram leads the Braves with 15 RBIs and is second on the team in stolen bases with 10.
