Waynesboro Outlasts Bison In 5 Sets

BUFFALO GAP – Waynesboro survived a strong upset bid by Buffalo Gap on Tuesday as the Little Giants outlasted the home team to win in five sets 25-18, 25-21, 18-25, 22-25, 16-14.

Morgan Sites posted a triple-double for the Little Giants with 16 kills, 16 assists and 23 digs. Ava Buckmaster pounded 14 kills and Jordan Smith added seven kills. Ella Cox had a team-high four blocks and teammate Dylan Coffey led the Little Giants with five aces to go along with 12 digs. Morgan Harlow passed out 21 assists and also contributed 12 digs.

Bailey Tribble’s double-double of 27 kills and 22 digs led the Bison. Tribble also served three aces. Avery Wheeler filled the stat sheet with 36 assists, 22 digs and four service aces. Brailyn Green added 15 digs while Violet Patterson finished with 10 kills and five digs.
