The local cross country scene is well-represented in the latest Milestat Top 500. The Milestat rankings include runners from all six public school classifications plus all private school and homeschool runners.
The girls’ Top 500 is led by Grace Christian’s Georgia Babish at No. 54 and includes eight more local runners.
Wilson senior Thea Franklin is next on the list at No. 133.
Fort Defiance and Waynesboro each have three runners in the Top 500. Camila Cruz is the top Fort runner at No. 220 followed by Molly O’Brien at No. 376 and Henley Ann Coffman at No. 397. Waynesboro’s Elliott Hall checks in at No. 344 with Alexis Austin at No. 375 and Lacey Keagy at No. 390.
Riverheads’ Verity Jordan is ranked at No. 348.
The Waynesboro duo of Miles Jolin and Grayson Norris top the boys’ rankings, both cracking the Top 100. Jolin sits at No. 54 while Norris is ranked at No. 60.
Wilson has three runners ranked in the Top 500, led by Julian Galiano at No. 239. Gavin Fortune is ranked No. 353 and Landon McNorton is ranked No. 465.
Grace Christian has two runners ranked with Jed Derrick at No. 249 and Canon Reid at No. 372.
A pair of Fort Defiance freshman are ranked with Wyatt Metcalfe at No. 357 and Matt Dulaney at489. Stuarts Draft’s Easton Nice is ranked No. 400.
