Top Performances From Region 1B and 2B Track & Field Meets

ELKTON – Stuarts Draft, Fort Defiance and Riverheads participated in the Region 2B Track & Field Championship Meet on Wednesday at East Rockingham High School.

Scores are not yet finalized as the pole vault was not contested on Wednesday. The pole vault will be held Thursday beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Wilson Memorial.

Fort Defiance is second in the girls’ standing with 110 points, trailing Clarke County with 127 points. Taylor Cubbage paced the Fort girls with 46 points, including first place efforts in the 400, 200 and high jump plus second-place finishes in the 100 and long jump

Stuarts Draft is second in the boys’ standings with 117 points, just four points behind Clarke County.

Landon Graber scored 40.5 points with first-place finishes in the shot put, triple jump and 300 hurdles. He also ran on the winning 4x100 relay team.

Region 1B Meet
SUSSEX – Buffalo Gap competed on Wednesday at the Region 1B Track & Field Championships.

Gap’s top finishes for both the boys and girls came in the 4x800 relay with second-place finishes for both teams. The boys ran 9:01.65 while the girls finished with a time of 12:38.32.
