The Rock The Ribbon Round Ball Shoot Out, one of the biggest high school basketball showcases in Virginia, will be held Jan. 23-24 at Rockbridge County High School.
The two-day event features 11 games and four of the games feature city-county teams.
On Friday, the Staunton Storm boys’ and girls’ teams will be in action with each playing William Byrd High School. The girls play at 5:00 p.m. followed by the boys at 6:30.
On Saturday, Fort Defiance will play Parry McCluer in boys’ action at 2:00 p.m. followed by the Stuarts Draft girls playing The Covenant School at 3:30.
The Shoot Out also brings in some of the top programs in the country, giving local fans the opportunity to watch some of the top players in the country.
Friday, in the final game of day at 8:00 p.m., Oak Hill Academy will face Colorado Prep.
Saturday, Oak Hill will play Blue Ridge School at 6:30 p.m., followed by the final game of the Shoot Out featuring Colorado Prep and Gillion Academy.
