Gladiators Win Second Straight

LEXINGTON – Riverheads rushed for nearly 400 yards Friday night to roll over Rockbridge County 41-6 in Shenandoah District football action.

Riverheads finished with 402 yards total offense with 397 coming on the ground.

Jackson Fitzgerald carried 15 times for 149 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Gladiators. Skyler Shiflett added 79 yards and one TD on 10 carries. Spencer Simpson had 56 yards and a touchdown on two carries and Preston McCauley rushed six times for 53 yards.

The Riverheads defense held the Wildcats to 195 yards total offense. Rockbridge scored on the final play of the game.
