Gap's Coffman, Hemp Selected to BCAV Class 1 All-State Team

Buffalo Gap’s Hannah Coffman and Kayleigh Hemp have been selected to the Class 1 Girls All-State Basketball Team selected by Basketball Coaches Association of Virginia (BCAV).

Coffman was selected to the All-State First Team while Hemp earned a spot of the second team. Both Coffman and Hemp received scholar-athlete designation for carrying at least a 3.25 GPA

Coffman and Hemp, both first team All-Region 1B picks, led the Bison to the regional title and a spot in the Class 1 state championship game where Gap lost to George Wythe.

Fort Chiswell’s Blair Jackson was named the Player of the Year and George Wythe’s Doug Campbell was selected Coach of the Year.
