Frizzelle Makes All-State 1st Team; Hanger, Anderson on 2nd Team

Fort Defiance, the Class 2 state runner-up in volleyball, placed three players on the all-state team released Monday.

Maecy Frizzelle, the Shenandoah District and Region 2B Player of the Year, was named to the Class 2 All-State First Team. Frizzelle, a junior hitter, was one of just two underclass players on the first team.

Fort Defiance freshman Caroline Hanger and sophomore libero Narah Anderson earned spots on the Class 2 All-State Second Team. Hanger was the lone ninth-grader to earn all-state recognition.
