Fort's Cruz Named to BCAV Class 2 All-State Second Team

Fort Defiance junior guard Gio Armendariz Cruz has been named to the BCAV Class 2 Boys Basketball All-State Second Team.

Cruz averaged 17 points per game for the Indians. He added four rebounds, four assists and two steals per contest.

Cruz also received a scholar-athlete designation for carrying at least a 3.25 GPA.

John Marshall swept the top honors with Latrell Almond the Player of the Year and Ty White the Coach of the Year.
