Rappahannock Edges Gap in Region 1B Baseball

WASHINGTON, Va. – Rappahannock County pushed across a run in the bottom of the sixth inning Thursday to edge Buffalo Gap, 1-0, in the Region 1B baseball tournament.

With two outs and no one on base in the bottom of the sixth, Jared Loving singled and William Vandrey followed with a double to drive in the only run of the game.

Cooper Cline went the distance on the mound for Gap, allowing one run on four hits. He struck out nine.

Gap managed just three hits, one each by Dalton Coffey, Cal Loan and Cole Reed.
