Local Teams Ranked In State Hoops Polls

Several local programs are ranked in the latest BCAV (Basketball Coaches Association of Virginia) state polls released Tuesday.

In Class 1 girls, the Buffalo Gap Bison, 13-3 overall are ranked No. 6

In the Class 2 girls’ poll, Stuarts Draft, 15-4 on the season, checks in at No. 7.

In Class 3 girls, Wilson, 15-3 overall, and Staunton (7-11) each received votes.

In Class 2 boys, Stuarts Draft (12-7) is among the teams receiving votes.

In Class 3 boys, Staunton, 17-2 overall is ranked No. 9 while Wilson, 16-2 overall, is in the receiving votes category.
