Local Athletes Shine at TA T&F Invitational

BRIDGEWATER – Stuarts Draft, Fort Defiance, Riverheads and Waynesboro competed Saturday at the Turner Ashby Relays.

Several local athletes won events at the meet.

Draft’s Landon Graber had a huge day, winning the long jump, triple jump and shot put while also taking second place in the 300-meter hurdles.

Also winning in the field events were Riverheads Noah Keller in the discus and Fort’s Jeffrey McLaughlin in the pole vault.

Waynesboro won a pair of distance races with Dylan Colander placing first in the 800 while teammate Grayson Norris won the 3200.

Waynesboro’s 4x800 relay team featuring Colander, Norris, Owen Morningstar and Ross Williamson took first place. 

For the girls, Waynesboro’s Skylar Sloat won two events – pole vault and triple jump.

Fort’s Taylor Cubbage won the high jump and Waynesboro’s Jordan Smith placed first in the discus.
