BUFFALO GAP - Buffalo Gap senior Karina Bondaruk announced her decision to play collegiate soccer at Eastern Mennonite University during a ceremony Thursday afternoon in the school auditorium.

“I wanted to stay local. I appreciate my family being able to watch me play and now they can continue to watch me play at EMU,” Bondaruk said, “I’m excited to play against the competition you face in the ODAC. I’ll get to see some players I played and trained with during travel soccer.”

Bondaruk plans to major in biochemistry. “I knew I wanted to do something in the medical field. I thought I might study sports medicine, but I’ve changed my mind. I want to do pharmacy and biochemistry will be the gateway to do that.”
